What is Bimmervin API?
A pay-as-you-go REST API for BMW, MINI, and Rolls-Royce vehicle data and coding. 27 endpoints covering VIN decoding, Vehicle orders (FA), FSC navigation codes, CarPlay activation, Video In Motion, Secure Coding 2.0 (NCD), SFA tokens, and ECU validation.
What can I do with it?
VIN lookup and factory data, FSC Map codes, CarPlay activation - Feature Installer Codes (cable and USB methods), Video In Motion, Secure Coding 2.0 (NCD), Fullscreen CarPlay Add-On, EntryEVO Wi-Fi port compatibility check, and other vehicle-data and coding endpoints. Which BMW head units are supported?
CIC, NBT, NBT EVO, EntryNav, Evo ID4, ID5/6, MGU, and others depending on the endpoint. Per-endpoint compatibility is documented in the API reference.
How does pricing work?
Pay-as-you-go. 1 credit ≈ €1, with no subscription and no minimum monthly. Top up any amount from €5 to €1,000 — bigger top-ups earn bonus credits, current tiers are shown live on the pricing page and at checkout.
How does the volume discount work?
Selected endpoints use in-month laddering: your per-call rate drops the moment you cross each volume threshold within the same calendar month. Example for /vehicle-state at €0.20 base, with brackets at 100+ €0.15, 300+ €0.10, 1,000+ €0.08, 2,000+ €0.07 — if you make 500 calls in one month, the first 100 are billed at €0.20, the next 200 (calls 101–300) at €0.15, and the next 200 (301–500) at €0.10. Total for the month: 100×€0.20 + 200×€0.15 + 200×€0.10 = €70 — that’s €0.14 effective per call. Counts reset at 00:00 UTC on the 1st of each month — every month starts fresh at the base rate. Your dashboard shows live progress: current bracket, calls this month, and how many more to unlock the next discount.
Do credits expire?
No. Top up €20 today, use it later — credits stay on your account until you spend them.
Is there a sandbox to test before paying?
Yes. Sign up for a free account and your dashboard will show a sandbox VIN you can send to any endpoint to receive a realistic canned response. Use it to validate your integration end-to-end before topping up.
